Foundation

Included exam

1-hour ISO 22301 Foundation exam (closed book, multiple choice)

Years of work experience needed for certification

BCM experience needed for certification

Included certification

Lifetime Foundation ISO 22301 certification with the PECB.
No maintenance fees nor any renewal activity necessary.


ISO 22301
Lead Implementer

Included exam

3-hour ISO 22301 Lead Implementer exam (open book, multiple choice)

Years of work experience needed for full Lead Implementer certification

5 years, of which 2 years in BCM*

BCM experience needed for certification

Project activities: 300 hours in total*

  • Acknowledge the correlation between ISO 22301, APRA CPS 232, APRA GPS 222, AS/NZS 5050 and other standards and regulatory frameworks

  • Master the concepts, approaches, methods and techniques used for the implementation and effective management of a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) 

  • Learn how to interpret the ISO 22301 requirements in the specific context of an organization 

  • Learn how to support an organization to effectively plan, implement, manage and maintain a BCM process

  • Acquire the expertise to advise an organisation in implementing BCM best practices 

Included certification

1-year Lead Implementer ISO 22301 certification with the PECB. A yearly maintenance fee (currently 100 USD) and submission of CPE points to the certification body are required.

*‘Provisional’ or ‘Implementer’ level can be chosen if you aren’t yet able to meet these requirements.

Lead Auditor

Included exam

3-hour ISO 22301 Lead Auditor exam (open book, multiple choice)

5 years, of which 2 years in BCM*

BCM experience needed for certification

Audit activities: 300 hours in total*

  • Understand the operations of a Business Continuity Management (BCM) process based on ISO 22301 

  • Acknowledge the correlation between ISO 22301, APRA CPS 232, APRA GPS 222, AS/NZS 5050 and other standards and regulatory frameworks

  • Understand an auditor’s role to: plan, lead and follow-up on a management system audit   

  • Learn how to lead an audit and audit team 

  • Learn how to interpret the requirements of ISO 22301 in the context of a BCM audit 

  • Acquire the competencies of an auditor to: plan an audit, lead an audit, draft reports, and follow-up on an audit 

Included certification

1-year Lead Auditor ISO 22301 certification with the PECB. A yearly maintenance fee (currently 100 USD) and submission of CPE points to the certification body are required.

Foundation level

Online study program (10-15 hrs of self-study). All course content, two personalised and real-time coaching sessions via Zoom, online ISO certification exam and lifetime ISO 22301 Foundation level certification: $ 990

Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor

Online study program (20-30 hrs of self-study). All course content, three personalised and real-time coaching sessions via Zoom, online ISO certification exam and one-year ISO 22301 Lead level certification: $ 1,690

Foundation level

3-day classroom course in a small group, including paper based ISO certification exam and lifetime ISO 22301 Foundation level certification: $ 2,495

Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor

3-day classroom course in a small group, complemented by a pre-course study kit and 2 coaching sessions, including paper based ISO certification exam and one-year ISO 22301 Lead level certification: $ 3,195
